The more our economy shakes and rattles, the more these two little words add up to a big focus for us all: saving money. I know it, you know it and I’m here to help.
I’ve been featuring a wide array of blog posts and articles aimed at saving you money as it relates to cell phones and cell phone plans. Today I have news about yet another way to save money, and this time it’s for wireless business customers.
Verizon Wireless on March 15, 2009 will launch Friends & Family® for Business.
The feature will allow companies to create a calling group for their employees comprised of the 10 phone numbers (wireless numbers or landline numbers) each employee calls the most.
When such a call is placed or received to or from a number in this calling group, it’s considered a mobile-to-mobile call and it doesn’t count against the plan’s minutes. The 10 numbers can be edited as often as necessary without cost.
But what about eligibility? Verizon Wireless said the following in a Thursday statement.
“Businesses with Nationwide for Business Single-Line plans with 900 or more anytime minutes or Nationwide for Business Single-Line with Share plans with 450 anytime minutes or more are eligible to add up to 10 numbers to their business account’s Friends & Family for Business.”
Friends & Family for Business will automatically be available on March 15, 2009 on “My Business” and the “Verizon Enterprise Center” for new business customers or customers who switch to a qualified Verizon Wireless service plan.
T-Mobile offers a feature like this for non-business customers to five pre-designated phone numbers. It’s called myFaves from T-Mobile.
